What does my ticket include?

Your ticket includes:

 

  • Up-close encounters with birds of prey such as falcons, owls, hawks, and more led by expert guides.

  • An introductory session covering handling techniques, equipment overview, and the basics of falconry.

  • A minimum of two private photo sessions, each featuring a different species of bird.

  • Professionally edited images within two months after the event.

  • Complimentary refreshments and snacks during breaks between activities.

  • A special falconry-themed gift to take home.

How do I get to the location?

Falconry Excursions is located at: 1 W Main St, Goshen, NY 10924
 

Driving: Take the Palisades Interstate Parkway north to the exit for Route 6, Central Valley, follow Route 6 west toward Interstate 86 and use exit 126, Goshen. It is about an hour and 15 minute drive from New York City. Public transportation: Take the New Jersey transit express train from Penn Station via Secaucus Junction to nearby Campbell Hall station then a 9 minute Uber (pickup and dropoff may be available at station with prior notice).

If you are very interested in attending but having trouble arranging transportation please send us a message using the link above, and we'll do out best to work out a solution! We have attendees coming from NJ, NYC, and PA who may be availible to carpool. 

What will the schedule be like?

Models are welcome to start arriving around 12:00pm for hair, makeup, and changing (info on hairstyling TBA). An intro session will be held at 2:00pm by the staff. Photo sessions will take place from approximately 3:00pm to 5:30pm. The full schedule and confirmation on this timing will be sent out to all attendees at least two weeks prior to the event.

Please arrive on time to ensure you receive your full allotted time slots for shooting; we cannot guarantee time for late arrivals as the birds will be on a very specific schedule.

How do photo sessions work?

Models will have the opportunity to sign up for a minimum of two private photo sessions. The sign-up sheet will allow you to choose your preferred photographer, bird species, and location (on a first come first serve basis). Although the sessions will be kept brief to respect the birds' limited handling time, we will ensure that each model gets their desired photos and sufficient time with each bird. Photo sessions are one model at a time unless a group session has been  previously disscused.

How many photos will I receive?

Models will receive a minimum of two professionally edited photos per session. While two photos per session is the minimum, our photographers will strive to provide as many high-quality images as possible. Additionally, our team will be capturing behind-the-scenes footage, and we’ll have a videographer on site. We also plan to have a third photographer available to shoot models between their sessions (without a bird) to ensure you get as much camera time as possible.

 

Within two months after the shoot date a gallery will be shared with all edited photos and videos. All team members will be given social tags and encouraged to credit when posting.

What are the facilities like?

An outdoor tented area will be available as a home base for models to get ready, change looks, and touch up hair and makeup between shooting. A bathroom is located on site indoors. Please dress warmly and bring layers as we will be outside the whole time.

What if it rains?

The rain date is the day BEFORE, Wednesday the 9th. Emails will be sent out with any date change due to inclement weather. Covered areas are available if there's light showers throughout the day.

Will there be food and drinks?

Complimentary refreshments and snacks will be available during breaks between activities. Attendees are invited to meet up for dinner and drinks at a nearby restaurant after the shoot. Please let us know If have food allergies.

Where can I stay overnight?

Please message us if you're interested in staying overnight, and we can provide a list of nearby hotels, inns, and airbnbs within a 10-20 minute drive. 

Do you accept payment plans?

Due to the current structure of our ticket sale process through WIX, we are unable to offer payment plans at this time. However, we understand that the ticket prices may be a significant investment, and we are happy to accommodate a deposit option. If you’d like to secure your spot with a $100 deposit via our PayPal or Zelle business account, please reach out to us directly. We will hold your spot until the full payment is received by a mutually agreed-upon date. Your deposit will be refunded if you are no longer able to attend.
